Thrower Readiness Hand Dynamometer - Grip Strength Measurement

Regular price $19.99

What Is A Hand Dynamometer?

A hand dynamometer is a tool to test a player's grip strength

How Do I Use It?

A player will hold the tool in their hand and squeeze down on the red tab as hard as they can with both their full hand and two fingers.

The dial will turn to indicate the player's measured grip strength for that exercise

Why Is This Important?

A drop in a player's baseline grip strength indicates forearm fatigue which can increase a player's risk of injury in their elbow.

Monitor and managing a player's throwing readiness is an important layer in our 3 Layers of Throwing Health Model

How Do I Get Started?

On a day where players are well-rested, fully hydrated, and well-nourished; coaches should collect baseline full hand and two-finger grip strength measurements.

These numbers should be retested every 2/3 months so modifications in throwing, hitting, and weight training plans can be made both in season and out of season.
